With roots deep in the music of Nashville, Tennessee, Aron Leigh grew up immersed in the country songwriting world. He learned to play guitar and sing at the tender age of five, drawing inspiration from the songwriters who surrounded his life. His talent as a Country Rock Americana artist evokes the unique sounds of an old songwriters soul, with raw vocal emotion and energy that is familiar yet completely fresh. His powerful vocal range, rockin’ high-energy songs and emotionally gripping ballads exemplify the versatility Aron possess. Aron Leigh is undeniably a legend in the making.
As a kid Aron grew up picking his father’s guitar. The school of hard knocks in music city taught Aron all he needed to know about working in the music business and making a living as an artist and a songwriter. Since the age of 10 Aron has written thousands of songs in multiple genres.
The time Aron spent at the Emerald studio on music row growing up would prove to be a road map to his future career. Spending time with such notables as Harlan Howard, Steve Popovich Waylon Jennings, Jack Clemet, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Alabama, Clint Black, Alan Reynolds, Billy Dean and many many others, Aron would later record his own album in that same studio years later.
“When I was a child I grew up watching people play music.
What I didn't know was that a lot of the people I was exposed to as a kid were going to turn out to be some of my hero’s later. I was raised in country music and in some cases blessed to be sitting around country music royalty. As a kid though I didn't really know or understand, as most don't. But I knew enough…..
In 2006 Aron was invited to join SESAC, and since then he has experienced a number of noteworthy achievements. In 2008 Aron signed his first publishing deal with Watsky Publishing where he continued to hone his skills and craft as a songwriter, writing with Roger Cook, Marcus Hummon, Terri Shawchuk, Steve Dean, Pat Alger, Denise Matkosky, Charlie Colin, Jonathan Singleton, Arlos Smith and Travis Howard just to name some. Along with many of the up and coming hit songwriters and artists who are just now hitting it and making history in music city. Aron has performed all throughout the country always improving and developing his connection with his audience. He has opened for Cage the Elephant, Travis Meeks of Days of the New Billy Dean, Joey & Rory, and Chris Young. Most recently Aron’s song “Cowboys Duty” has been played on over 200-radio stations nation wide, and all over the world. His songs have also graced a number of film and TV shows on A&E as well as many other networks.
Aron is poised to release an album in Winter 2011.
